Whilst in agistment at Ryga Park your horses will receive the following services:

24 Hour Care: Ryga Park has two on-site managers, ensuring 24 hour care for your horses; attending to any injuries and administering medications around the clock if required.

 Dietary Requirements and Feeding: To ensure your horses are getting the best nutritional care whilst resting, we feed twice daily with top quality feed and hay enriched with mineral supplements.

Other Services Available:

Ryga Park will tailor your horses’ care to their needs. There is a vast list of specialised services available, but if your horse is in the need of any other care not listed here, we are happy to discuss and arrange to meet your requests.

Specialised Feeding: We can cater for any special dietary requirements your horses’ may have, keeping weight management, joint and cartilage repair, in mind.

Specialised Services: Ryga Park can source and supply any requirements your horse might need including chiropractic, acupuncture and dentistry. Ryga Park is open to clients providing their own specific services.

Weight Monitoring and Management: We can monitor your horse’s weight from arrival to departure and can also provide weekly updates of your horse’s weight if required.

Annual Injections: Ryga Park offers annual injections and can administer these while your horse is spelling. We provide annual Tetanus Strangles, EHV and Salmonella injections, and can arrange for a vet to manage specific treatments.

Insurance Certificates: Ryga Park can organise for insurance certificates to be signed off whilst your horses are spelling, Ryga park vets will sign off on insurance certificates and fax them back to your insurance company.

Colt and Weanling Facilities: Ryga Park has speciality built single paddock facilities for colts ensuring your investments are safe.  Using state of the art Poly vinyl fencing with high voltage Electrobraid standoffs ensuring your colt respects the fences he has been put behind.  We also cater for weanlings allowing your investment to grow safely behind the safest fencing available, we have nanny horses that help your weanlings settle in to their surrounds and provide them with the safety of a mature horse and the security of a herd environment.

These other services and treatments are on a need basis and will be quoted to you before purchase/acceptance of service.

Paddock layout and fencing: There are two types of paddocks available at Ryga Park. There are ten large single paddocks ranging from 2800sqm to 3100sqm in size and group paddocks.

Fencing systems used at Ryga Park thoroughbred spelling and agistment will protect your investments, providing your thoroughbreds with a safe environment utilising strengthened state of the art PVC and Electrobraid™ fencing. Ryga Park fences are designed to flex under severe impact absorbing the energy of a horse at full gallop and prevents injuries caused by traditional fencing materials. Fences at Ryga Park thoroughbred spelling and agistment has 5 times the tensile strength and 4 times the flexibility of wood. This fence system is designed to minimise injuries and secure horses safely. There are no sharp points or hard edges; no boards to break or splinter.

It is both a physical barrier and a psychological deterrent, strong, resilient and highly visible to horses. Other then ElectroBraid™, traditional electric fencing uses small diameter steel wires which are hard for horses
to see.

Ryga Park is proud of ElectroBraid's outstanding safety record.
Many prominent equine vets say this fencing system is one of the safest fences for horses. At least 40,000 horses are now agisted behind ElectroBraid™. Horse safe PVC fencing was recently seen at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and will be used at the London Olympic games 2012.
